Cordierite Ceramic Ferrule Used for Pipe Welding

Cordierite ceramic rings are made of cordierite, alumina or refractory materials and have the advantages of good heating performance, corrosion resistance, high electrical insulation and low thermal expansion.Our cordierite ceramics are produced using a hot-pressing process and are used as coil bobbins for heating elements. They can be formed into a variety of shapes and designs. Applications include home appliances, automotive, machinery, engineering, and other industries.

The main chemical composition of cordierite ceramic is 2MgO·2Al2O3·5SiO2. The main materials used include talc, clay, alumina, and feldspar. All of our products are placed in cordierite trays (also called crucibles) during the kiln firing process. Small cordierite parts can be formed using dry powder pressing. Large cordierite blocks are produced using slip casting.
